I'm all about teaser introductions to the kinds of things I need to begin blogging about. So let's call some of this pre-requisite reading, shall we? It seems that some of the directions I have begun to poke my way into have started gaining a lot of traction in the media as well--
The biomechanics of running and correlations to injury is yet one more topic I need to discuss. In the meantime, again, because it's so relevant-- a news story from last week's Boston.com.
Lots and lots more on this topic forthcoming.

Oh look what I found on this glomy Saturday morning. Something entertaining to read while I drink my coffee.
ReplyDeleteI find this topic oh so interesting. I am always struggling with shoes - from flip flops to dress shoes to sneakers.... Where I am most confused is with aerobics... How come as a child I would do gymnastics barefoot and ballet with little slippers but as adults we are supposed to wear these clunky sneakers? I swear they do more harm than good as you are trying to dance across the gym floor. I have pretty much limited my aerobic activity to the comfort of my own home and barefoot. I don't think the Y would take too kindly on me showing up without shoes. I am sure they have something in their fine print that goes against that.
